Owner Diona Joyce is friendly and apologetic for how busy she is, but it’s not hard to see why—her shack is one of the few downtown places to get Filipino cuisine, including pork belly, noodles, blood pudding and plantain spring rolls. An order of tapsilog ($7) brings thinly sliced strips of sirloin steak marinated in salt and spices with tender garlic rice and achara, a cool pickled papaya and ginger slaw.
